In late August, we took a trip with our friends, Beth and Lisa, to the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie Wilderness Area, near Bellingham, Washington. It was a beautiful hike up through alpine meadows, with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.

Overall, a lovely wilderness getaway before our pilgrimage to the desolate desert of Nevada.
